Easy Change Desktop Icon Size in Windows 7 & Vista

You will find the very large size of Vista desktop icons? For some strange reason, the icons are all great! I want something small, so I quickly found a way to make much smaller icons. There are normal-sized icons Windows 7, but you can make smaller or larger depending on your needs.

Through the desktop, the mouse scroll wheel or through personalization: There are actually three ways you can go about resizing icons. I find the process to be the fastest and easiest if you have a mouse connected to your system. When you read online, the registry entries that allow you to change the size of desktop icons that are supposed to have a couple, but I'm just in case you want them to work with Windows 7. I could not have them listed below on your system try.

If you choose Classic Icons, Windows XP's default size that will change the size of the icons. That is my preferred choice. Large, medium and classic (or small): If you are using a desktop system, you only get three possible. When using the mouse wheel, a lot more size range.
Method 3 - Personalization

If you do not have a mouse wheel, and anything other than the above three options you want to change the size of icons on your desktop, you can manually edit the value.

To do this, right-click on the desktop and choose Personalize. This personalization dialog where you can change the theme, you will want to click on the color of the window.

Method 4 - Registry Keys

What is mentioned all over the place on the net, but the change had no effect on the size of the icons on my desktop. As far as I can tell, it's the size of desktop icons in Windows 7 Registry is impossible to change.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software - Microsoft - Windows - Shell - Bags - 1 - Desktop - IconSize

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Control Panel - Desktop - WindowMetrics - Shell Icon Size

You can adjust the size of icons in the Windows 7 registry found a way to use, then please post a comment and it does what the registry key. Enjoy!
